Norris brought out his son, Levi, and daughter, Lexi, for a midnight madness fishing trip on the James River. The trip got off to a rocky start with a storm sneaking up on us. We had to wait in our vehicles for about two hours before we could finally hit the water.

As soon as we got to our spot, the action was on fire. Nobody in this group had ever caught a striper before and we changed that very quickly. Lexi caught a nice one to start.

Next Norris caught his first striper.

Then Levi caught his first striper.

Pretty early in the trip, Lexi hooked up with a giant largemouth bass. What a catch.

Norris caught himself a really nice bass as well.

The action was fast and furious, and we were doubling up and tripling up at points.

This group continued to real in fish one after another. By the 1 hour mark, we had already caught 72 fish.

The fishing stayed on fire and we eventually decided to switch over to catfish after we caught roughly 150 fish, about a 50/50 mix of striper and white perch.

We were all very tired when we started catfishing and nobody could keep their eyes awake so we decided to call it a night so we could get home safe.

That was some ferocious fishing and we hope everybody had as much fun as we did. Can’t wait for the next trip.
