Whether you’re planning an upcoming trip or you’re currently on the water wondering why the fish won't bite—Goober Time Guide Service is available for fishing consultations. Think of this as your personal "cheat code" for the river. You can purchase time to pick our brains on anything you need to ensure a successful day on the water, with the understanding that we will not be sending specific waypoints. What We Can Discuss: Bait Scouting: General locations and techniques for catching the best fresh bait given the time of the year. Seasonal Patterns: Deep dives into what the catfish are doing based on the current water temp, time of year, and tidal schedule. Tactical Advice: The best time of day to fish, the tidal influences on choosing fishing locations, and general stretches of the river to begin your search. Gear Recommendations: Gear and rigging recommendations based on the area of the river. Launch Locations: Which boat ramp to use based on the goals of your trip. On-the-Water Audits: Call us while you're fishing to help troubleshoot your electronics or your spread in real-time. Booking & Pricing Consultations are sold in 30-minute increments. This allows you to get a quick "pulse check" or settle in for a long-form strategy session. Billing Policy: Our time is billed per 30-minute block. If your session exceeds the initial 30 minutes, you will be billed for the next full block. Example: A 45-minute consultation will be billed as two 30-minute blocks. Terms & Conditions To keep our schedule running smoothly for all guests, please note the following strictly enforced policies: No-Show Policy: Once a time slot is purchased, that time is dedicated to you. If the Captain is unavailable we will work with you to reschedule. You will be billed for your scheduled block whether you make the call or not. * No Refunds: All sales are final. There are no refunds for any circumstances, including but not limited to: equipment failure, weather changes, poor cell service, or personal scheduling conflicts. Overages: If a call runs into a second or third 30-minute block, an invoice for the additional time will be sent immediately following the call and is due upon receipt. Availability: While we welcome "on-the-water" calls, they are subject to guide availability. Please call/text us to check our availability before you purchase the service. If we are currently with another client, we will return your call or message as soon as we are able.
