John booked a trip and brought his sons Wyatt and Grant out to experience the James River. The big catfish were still on spawn so we set our sights on catching a mess of eater size catfish. We set the gill net out while we fished our first spot. We didn't have to wait long and had fish coming in the boat left and right.

The eater size catfish were on fire and we had to pull the rods in to check the gill net before it sat too long. The gill net had a few catfish and a bunch of gizzard shad. We moved spots and continued to catch eater size fish.

We were using our Catch the Fever Hellcat Revenge spinning rods with Shimano Baitrunner reels. Hearing the drag scream got everybody excited. Attimes, we were catching 2-3 fish at a time and the boys were having a blast.

We moved spots again and continued to catch fish. Before we knew it, we were out of tiem on the trip. It was a relaly fun day, having caught 20 plus fish in teh span of 4 hours. Thanks for joining us on the water! Can't wait for the next trip.
