The Mighty James River
The James River is the largest river in Virginia, flowing across the entire state. With it's headwaters in the mountains and flowing 340 miles to the Chespeake Bay, it's one of the longest rivers in the country contained in a single state. From rapids, to heavy tidal current, the river evolves as it creeps through Virginia, providing varied habitat and fostering the growth of massive fish!

GIANT CATFISH
The primary bait fish in the James River is the Gizzard shad and the population is thriving! As a result, Blue Catfish grow very rapidly in the James River, with a trophy class fish being caught every day. It is not uncommon to catch fish in the 30-50 lb range on most outings.
Incredible Views
Whether you're on the river for a fishing charter or a cruise, the James River has some pretty amazing sunrises and sunsets. You don't have to go far from the city of Richmond to feel like you're in a different, more peaceful, world.
