You're welcome to purchase a Virginia fishing license, however it is not necessary. Goober Time Guide Service has a license that covers all anglers on board. We find this simplifies the experience for anglers from other states. Purchase Fishing License

We catch trophy catfish year round, with the exception of during the spawn. The spawn is approximately late April through Early June and we do not target trophy blue catfish. This is a great time of year to target eater size fish or other species of fish such as flathead catfish, smallmouth bass, crappie, striper, and white perch.

We have a spacious boat with lots of bells and whistels. Some luxury installations on our boat include a full array of LED lights, premium electronics, bluetooth stereo, karaoke machine, bimini top and full enclosure, projector and screen to watch movies, football games, video games, youtube, etc These items make our boat a great choice to rent out for birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, river cruises, sunset cruises, night cruises, beach trips, karaoke trips, football games, movies. To help preserve our fishery, we practice CPR (catch, photo, release) with all of our trophy fish. You are welcome to keep smaller fish as long as they fall within Virgina creel limits.

Space disappears quickly on a boat so we recommend bringing only what is necessary. We recommend: rain gear, warm weather clothes, sunglasses, sea sickness medicine, food, snacks, beverages, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, and a phone to take photos of your catch!

Cancellations & Refund Policy When you fill out our booking form, you agree to pay for your trip. Deposits are non-refundable. The captain reserves the right to cancel/reschedule trips to keep the safety of guests in mind. We will work with you the best we can, but understand reserving a date prevents other guests from booking that date so please make sure there are no conflicts with the date you choose. Cancellations within 2 weeks of the trip date will result in full charge for the trip.

Absolutley! We love helping new anglers and children fall in love with the sport of trophy fishing. There's nothing better than an ear to ear smile after catching a trophy catfish! Virginia law requires all children ages 13 and under to wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved PFD the entire time they're on the water. Please check with us about sizing or plan to bring your own PFD for children.

Our boat is equiped with a full enclosure and heat so you can stay dry and warm during your trip. In the event of extreme weather, Captain Dan retains the right to cancel or reschedule a trip in order to maintain safety.
